So, this page caught my eye when I was reading People Magazine. This couple right here is Allen & Violet Large.Allen is 75 & Violet is 78. They met in 1964. Ever since 1983, they have purchased two lottery tickets every week. Last year, Violet called the lottery hotline to check out the winning numbers, & turns out they won. They won $11.2 million dollars. & guess what they did with it? They donated it all to doctors, their own country, family. & kept none for themselves.
They say they are content with their ‘87 Dodge Diplomat Suburban & their 148 year old Victorian home,

I have a lot to blog about today, but I don't think I'd be able to capture what I really wanna say, so I'll just keep it simple.
I think it happened :)
I was reading something about God's love for us and all of a sudden I was just overwhelmed with this feeling and I couldn't control myself and I started crying.
I went out with Kat and watched Green Lantern, it was a disappointment. But the cinema was rather empty so we could laugh damn hard at whatever and it was fun :) Then we had lunch at Ion and talked. Miss that girl! Studying in States hmm I wonder how my other friends leaving for boarding schools overseas this year would do.
Then I met Sherby. I just told her EVERYTHING stuffed up in me. She didn't give advices, just listened and shared in return. But I was happy because I didn't need advices, I just needed a listening, empathetic ear. Which I got, so yay :) I'm lazy to type out stuff that we talked about here, but basically just problems like life, academia, and spiritual life.
I don't feel close to God nowadays. In fact I don't think I ever felt a strong connection, unlike many of my other friends. So for the whole time I was swimming just now, I just kept repeating "God, please talk to me. Let me know that You're there." over and over and over again in my head.
I think it happened :)

I think being Aunt Agony's actually really fun hehehe. I read someone's aunt-agonyish blog for like an hour and realised reading about others' problems and giving them advices for that is REALLY FUN hahahahaha omg am I just being weird nyeheheh. Okay I really need to start on work.. I will start tomorrow...... YES BABY I WILL.
Okay rn I will go slack my ass off again! My parents are flying off tonight and only back on the 24th so that means freedom but WHY WHY WHY mom and dad WHY are you always gone only when I need you here to scream at me and make me do work D: PLUS it's fathers' day tomorrow! I don't know if I should give my dad the present and card tonight or when he's back. But if I haven't written in the card yet ahhhhhh I'm a lousy daughter zz.

Today my life begins
SOOO it's 3.40am now and we're both awake.

Just finished watching Burlesque (me for the second time!) It's a GREAT movie really. At first I thought it was super sleazy and kinky and odd and bizarre but then as I watched on I realised it was nothing close to that :) Okay not as close as I thought it would be anyway. AND OF COURSE there's CAM GIGANDET. AHHH my new celebrity crush, hot as hell :')
Skyped with Jiamin and she and Nicole got to witness my.. extremely active brother. Seriously he hit me kay and now I have 2 people as witnesses!! Grr we were like wrestling and it was damn hard to get him out of the room and my parents had to stay up to scold him. Quite funny actually O: Okay siblings will always be like that.
I shan't blog about our baking since Nicole has already done it in detail!! :) CHECK OUT HER BLOG for that post please hehehehhehehehe it's very exciting our first baking adventure AND IT'S A SUCCESS :)
I'm sucha showoff it wasn't even heavenly but come on we baked it from scratch and it was our first try ^^

Went to Subway for dinner before our complete fail grocery shopping. Kinda sat there and ate&talked for around and hour? Haven't talked to her for long in ages! :) Caught up a little and told her about my usual fmlfmlwhatshouldidowithmyfuture dilemma. So our solution was to pray to God, which I just did. I really hope I'll find peace soon and He'll speak to me some way or another )': It's been troubling me a lot! But I believe I'll find my answer soon :)
Okay I can't sleep argh. Looking through trip photos over and over again and feeling nostalgic. Can't stop wishing that I'm back in UK haha I NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT MY FADING ASIAN PRIDE.
Ciao gonna watch a Taiwanese drama for a change (okay but only because I finished 90210 and Vampire Diaries and there's nothing else to watch...........)

Feeling a bit better, talking to some of the people I miss like mad.
But it's also because of this that I realise some things can never go back to the way they were.

I WANT MY HAIR LIKE THAT. ARGH. See not exactly center parting, more of side. But not really a fringe, more like no fringe. SO. NAICE. But don't think I can pull it off ): Fringe is getting freaking annoying!-

We damn fail. Found out stuff that we never knew about the area o.o And it's frighteningly empty in the day! We walked arou
nd the entire place and got really bored and tired to headed to Central's Gong Cha to rest. Ran into Cass and Gwen! :) They just finished their YMCA streets sales haha quite funny.
Went to National Library afterwards to do more research. FINALLY paid off my $14.70 worth of fines omg :/ The CD that Alethea and I borrowed for HSSRP incurred a $11 fine HAHA. People like me fund the library sigh. Gotta stop being so irresponsibleeeeee.
Reached home at 8 (wtf right) and ditched my plans to gym cos I was lazy )': I keep thinking about what to do with my life in future. Can't make up my mind. Need someone who understands me/mutual understanding to talk to ): (this is like some matchmaking advert lmaolmao) Haven't started on any work either, although I told myself I would. Slacker101#phailatlife.

So we landed at Heathrow Airport on 30th May and took a... 6-hour drive (I think) To Dale Fort, Pembrokeshire. Go google that place, it's absolutely GORGEOUS. I mean it seems rather old and out of touch but really I spent 6 days there barely seein
g anyone but the RGS/RI/St Clare's (another college of students who were there) and it just felt.. I don't even know how to describe! No distractions no nothing just (the only sad part) some work to do and VERY VERY PRETTY sceneries to look at :)
We spent all of the 6 days doing field work, meaning we had to walk long distances to get to the sites that we do our field work at. Apparently on some days we walk 4km+ but seriously it felt like 1 km only. Probably because of the pretty sceneries we were treated to on the way there :) I'm kinda lazy to blog (plus no one reads this blog anyway) but if you wanna know all about it then go to http://rgswales2011.wordpress.com/ :)
The food there was.... HEAVEN. Ahh I miss the meals there so much ): I completely pigged out!! Gained 2kgs zzz T_T
Then we travelled to other places! Uhm went to many Museums! Even ran into a Singaporean family at Down House (Where DARWIN LIVED okay sound like a nerd) haha no offence but I think Singaporeans are rather identifiable :/ Generally no make up, and SORRY BUT not well dressed and okay I'm guilty of it too but really if you compare with the people there it's like whoa Singaporeans are really underdressed hahah. (will post the link to FB albums once Dawne uploads the photos) Oh and we went to watch Wicked the Musical! :) BEST. MUSICAL. I HAVE. EVER. WATCHED. Not that I've watched many but AHH it's seriously so good! Ran into a grou pof people from VJC there haha. Btw can anyone tell me the difference between Broadway and Westend?
Okay so to summarise I shall write 10 interesting facts from the trip
1) I can actually survive without my phone/macbook. (OMG?! Ikr.)
2) Indian food in London tastes better than western food. HEAPS.
3) Dale was probably about as close to nature I'd ever get. (for such a long period of time, at least) And I kinda liked it :) I ended up finding sand hoppers cute haha wtp
4) I want to be able to sun tan in my yard too like hello how cool is that.
5) I am extremely, EXTREMEY anglophilic. Suxxzxcxvc it's not good what happened to my azn pride
6) Big Ben is not the name of the clock tower. I NEVER KNEW THAT omg. It's actually called uhm... St Stephen's Tower?
7)London Eye was the biggest ferris wheel in the world till Singapore built the Flyer hehehehh you probably already know this but it was just funny cos our tour guide was telling us about it and she was like "till a CERTAIN country built one bigger" okay doesn't sound funny now but it was funny then
8) I LIKE NERDS FOR REAL like hot guys who have the nerdy look AHHAHAH what iz wrong with me. But now I completely understand why some of my friends like them lmao
9) Wtf hotels have adult channels like porn like for real and wtf I didn't know so I switched to that channel wtpwtpwtpwtpwtpwpttpwptwptpwptpwtp I always thought you had to PAY to get those channels to work but no!?
10) I want to live there. That's it.
