I'll be on a hiatus till exams are over! Gotta prep hardcore for Hist and Chem cos they're the 2 subjects that I'm supposed to be better at :/ Oh well hahaha. Btw it means I'll be back on my birthday O: can't believe 4 months have passed. )':
Mugged with Nicole the entire day at Coffee Bean! Talked to her a little about some problems, felt better. Today was quite productive not bad not bad.
And to the few of you: I really really really can't thank you enough for being so kind and sweet. Thanks for reading and empathising with me, and for not judging me but instead comforting me (': I may not know all of you well but what you said really meant a lot to me. ♥

OMG i just saw this picture on tumblr.

This is so in line with what I shared at cell group today! I said I wanted to be a reconstructive plastic surgeon.
Yes, this is what (okay actually it was some documentary on girl with cleft lip, another documentary on how this pakistani woman got her nose chopped off by her husband and yet another one on how this woman got burnt in a fire) inspired me to want to be one. To some people, plastic surgery is just an artificial/superficial way of regaining society's acceptance.
But to them it could mean the world and their life. Imagine what it's like to be walking on the streets with everyone turning their heads and staring at you when you walk past. It could kill their self confidence and esteem. )':
HAHA sometimes people laugh at this but yea la you can laugh I won't take offense but I really hope I can get there one day (:

Had an awesome fulfilling day!
Didn't manage to wake up at 8 though. But waking up at 9 ain't bad la haha. Packed my lunch myself and went to the library at White Sands to study! Then Sherby came and joined me for lunch (we had Ramen omg so good) and then we went to Coffee Bean at Downtown East while She, Huiying and some other girl (idk her name oops!) had bible studies and I studied history hehe.

Church was awesome. Sermon was on Dreams: we should never give up on what we want to do because God gave us the ability to fulfill our dreams, so we should never belittle ourselves. It was quite a good session! (: Cell group was fun too hehe we played super funny games then shared our dreams and goals with each other. Awesome I love Huizhen's church because they're so homely and everyone in the cell seems to love and care so much for each other! Really hope I can go there more ahhhhh.
Oh anyway Mel shared that once we achieve our dreams, we should never lose ourselves (don't be blinded and won over by the material incentives) in it and always remember why we dreamt that dream in the first place. (:

Actually slapdashed was random like it was the first random word that came into mind. I shall try to crap something out lolz.
Anyway, it means something done too hurriedly and carelessly. I guess it applies to life? Like sometimes just give slapdashed performances and not try our best, which leaves us room for regret. So yes lets not live with regrets (:
On the other hand I actually put thought into my tumblr address (chasingwind.tumblr) haha still sounds crappy and the pictures are not very related to the address but yea la whatever LOL. Sometimes we live our lives chasing after things that can't be seen; things that aren't real. We're always going after vanity instead of what's meaningful. So maybe we should just stop and shift our focus to what's truly worthy of us (and vice versa) and go all out for it (:

Day 1
Okay I just went to my profile pictures and picked the only one with only myself in it haha that's how lazy I am :/
Hiiii my name's Superwoman Elaine and I'm turning 16 in just 5 days! (: A proud member of Raffles Netball (Don't know where I'd be if I hadn't joined RN) and errr in 409 (: Typical teenage girl who just wants to have fun in life but always fails at it HAHA sadly.
Alright 15 interesting facts.
1. Whenever I'm done eating and there's leftovers on my plate I like to chop and mash the stuff up and pretend I'm cooking them. Do you get what I mean? My friends think it's gross but I think it's fun..
2. I love crime/investigative/medical (ok idk what the term is la) shows like CSI, Criminal Minds, House, Bones, etcetc.
3. I think I'm a secret fangirl although I say I'm not :/ Unfortunately. Seriously I freaking LOVE Vampire diaries esp Ian Somerhalding and Nina Dobrev you can even get me posters for my birthday (: Yea shit I am a fangirl............ But in my defence I'm no a major one at all.
4. Okay yea in relation to fact #3, I fell in love with Justin Bieber AFTER going for his concert. Okay if you wanna throw eggs at me go ahead but just think of the starving kids in Africa. Then again in my defence, I liked his songs before that, just didn't particularly like him.
5. I don't like fastfood (i.e. Mcdonald's, KFC, Burger King, etc) Subway's an exception.
6. I haven't drank coke intentionally since beginning of last year.
7. I can't see myself married, so I don't want to get married. Maybe I'm not that much of a typical girl after all...
8. I love vegetables. I seriously do. My friends chuck me veges they don't want and I'll just eat them up.
9. When I was a kid (I think 3 or 4 years old) I had to go for injections a few times every week for around a month or more.
10. I was in boarding school at China all the way till I was 5. [edit] Yes lol I was born in China but then again my parents are Singaporeans and I have no idea why I'm not Singaporean? By right even if I'm born in China I should still be Singaporean right. But anyway I'm converting soon. I don't know haha I don't really ask my parents because I think it's awkward and if they wanna tell me they'll tell me. Ya so stop asking me on formspring haha. 11. Therefore I hate being alone/abandoned/etc cos whenever my parents visited they'd be like "oh we'll come back soon" but they never do till the next break/summer.
12. My brother and I can't go a day without punching/insulting each other. But I still love him secretly although he doesn't know that.
13. I sit on the toilet bowl and read/use my laptop HAHAHHAHA OMG THIS IS TMI but I can't think of anything
14. I wanna be a (reconstructive) plastic surgeon when I grow up. Bring 'beauty' to those who weren't born with it/had it taken away from them. ('beauty' because it is subjective)
15. My results mean a lot to me. People have told me I look like the kind who can't be bothered to study/gets bad results cos I look like a paikia. But really I stress out about academia like it's the end of the world. Okay not all the time but most of the time.
16. I know I've exceeded BUT I LOVE DISNEY AND TAYLOR SWIFT!!!!! They make up 50% of my tumblr reblogs I think lol.

Never say never
So, it was semis today, against Sports School.
I wasn't sad that we lost. I mean, I was kinda sad that we weren't able to make it into finals, but I wasn't sad in the "wtf shit la" way. We didn't play well, but I could feel everyone's fighting spirit. It kinda made me tear a little during Ms Chng's debrief, when she praised all the players who had improved.
Once again, Raffles Netball taught me the true meaning of 'never say never'. (lol justin bieber) It's so touching everytime I see them play, especially against another 'giant'. They never give up, no matter how large the score difference is. So whatever the score today was, B'div's always the champions in my eyes (': Love you many many.
And C'div made it into finals! I'm so happy for them :D It's been a while since Raffles Netball made finals for Nationals :/ (we're usually Zonal champs/top 2 then nats top 4 heheheeh) AHHH I'm really happy today actually :D So proud of RN.
Wished CHIJTPY had been able to make it into finals though. They were definitely much better, and in every way deserved to be in the finals more than the other team )': Shan't elaborate much but the match was like pure exciting and inspirational. THEY. PLAYED. SO. HARD. TILL. THE. LAST. SECOND. LITERALLY. Omg respectttttt
But that means season is coming to an end.

I need to spend more time with people I love, because we're all going separate ways v v v soon.
2 close friends leaving singapore to study this year, and many aren't going to RJ (like confirmed).
At least the ones going to other JCs will still be in Singapore, but those going overseas would be like.. IDK when I'd even get to see them again. And I'm so busy nowadays, don't even have time to spare D: Sian sian sian.
Makes me realise everyone's growing up really really fast. And things are ever changing, we can't take anything for granted.

Blogging again! :')
Went for training today too! (: Missed trainings. But it was so tiring and hot today omg I swear I got a shade tanner )': Soon I'll be brown like coconuts. I hate how every time I fall sick, it takes like another 2 weeks (after recovery) for my asthma/bronchitis to subside enough for me to train properly. I'm running out of time and number of trainings with RN!!! D: Season's reaching its end soon )': Sigh don't even wanna think about it.
Okay so. Yesterday was pretty much a special/different day - gained my first hater on formspring. It's not something to celebrate about at all, but it made me realise that not everyone's as nice as you expect them to be. But even so, there'll always be the few people who'll be right behind you no matter what happens.
Anyway, to the hater (I doubt you'll read this but if you do... If you hate me, why're you still trying to find out about parts of my life? Get over me :) :
Whatever you meant by 'my type of people', let me just remind you that we'll never stoop as low as you to flame others anonymously online. If you really wanna play this classifying game, then yea sure. Just want you to know that I'd be pretty ashamed if people associate me with 'your type of people' too. Feels good to have the words you used thrown back at you, eh.

I just realised this is the very last history PT I'd do in my entire life hahaha oh gosh hope I had done it well :/ Mao Zedong is a bitch not a very nice guy but I swear he still looks as cute as an Asian Santa HAHAHA. Minus the beard. HE EVEN LIKES RED.... Okay whatever doesn't make sense.

Anyway, mom just told me that there was this dog stranded somewhere for 3 weeks after Japan's tsunami. A helicopter was sent to rescue it, but it couldn't reach the dog and ran out of fuel. So they sent a speedboat (?) to rescue the dog and finally reached it safely.
It's so touching (': how people care so much about the lives of others, whether it's the same species or not. We're all created by God, and we're all one big family. It's heartwarming how people all over the world have been reaching out to Japan to try help them O: Makes me realise that the world really is still an awesome place :D
